I can so much relate to this poem! When at times we feel rather weighed down, the sight of a simple object of nature can suddenly illuminate our otherwise downbeat inner landscape! It is a beautiful sight to watch the slanting rays of the dying sun falling over a cluster of leaves giving them an extra sheen. Such small visuals of Nature can suddenly wipe away the gloom from us and give us instant joy, though may not be long standing! A cute little poem, direct and simple!
''[..] an improbable glow [..] Just a brief glow, but that is long enough to revive me'' a brief glow at sunset.. a magical glow.. just before darkness.. Ah, the 'magic' of Poetry..!
There are so many small, seemingly hidden joys in a day that most people don't identify and so can't appreciate. The low angle of a sun-ray, striking and highlighting a cluster of leaves. These things give me almost irrational joy. And if not long lasting, at least a temporary respite from any so called troubles. Daniel, the light wasn't in excess, it was just right. Just like this poem.
absolutely loved this Daniel, will reread this and meditate upon the lines many times
What a wonderful poem! What a delight! You make us see and feel That reviving shining light.
Wonderfully sun begins in to its descent in to night and we observe slanted of rays that illuminate special brightness. This poem is really very interesting sonnet that speaks very nicely about wise imagery shared. Excesses of light definitely shine here and we feel the zeal of sharing such a marvelous work.....10
Very evocative. It also shows that there are natural joys around us. Joys that we sometimes overlook Thank you for reminding me of that..
