I like the Poet's Notes about this poem: Across the Universe is one of those expansive vistas that words can convey. It would take a huge canvas for a painter to convey it through color and line. I also like the image of the shadow of the moon - it appears to be benign if not actually positive. A sheltering place in which a poet can garner inspiration and safety.
