2 - To me it is another strange English language concoction, perhaps originating in America? ? I don't know if your Poet's Notes is correct in England, but i'll guess it is ok in India (at least for you) I have not read the poem yet. i'm BUSY & my online time is restricted. remind me to return to poem text and commenting another day :) bri
1 - re Poet's Notes: i've heard " how do you do? " , as a greeting for someone not met before. but i've not heard " how do you? " how does one do WHAT? AND to me, " what have you" (not a question) is used " at the end of a list in order to refer generally to other things of the same kind. [vagueness]" e.g. " i like cake, ice cream, and what have you" (cont.)
