An Enchanted Christmas House... Poem by Shaun Cronick

An Enchanted Christmas House...

Rating: 5.0

Our house has such a lovely air,
When Christmas comes around.
All sorts of Christmas cheer,
About the rooms are found.

We bring down from the attic,
A box so huge and square.
Packed tight full of everything,
To make it cheery there.

Across the mantle reindeers dash,
With a leap and bound they go.
Drawing Santa's sleigh of glistening white,
Over mounds of cotton snow.

Silver balls from the archway hang,
No prettier sight can be seen.
Outlined with strings of coloured lights,
Amidst garlands of Christmas greens.

From each window tip a star peers down,
Spreading its beams of light.
To ribbons of red and tiny rosettes,
And on curtains of crispy white.

All through the house the spirit pervades,
With candles ribbon and holly.
By Christmas Eve it's a joy to behold,
We couldn't help but be jolly.

Then we open the door to our little house,
And listen to the sweet refrain.
Our hearts are peaceful happy and cheery,
For its Christmas time again.

A beautiful home filled with warmth and love. A vivid portrayal of a home that is peaceful, cheery and happy. I am sure each and everyone living in this enchanted Christmas house has the spirit of Christmas in the core of their hearts. Beautifully written with great imagery. Onto my Poem List..

Thank you for your kind and most generous comment Rose Marie. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and today I'm a happy Christmas Bunny I've finished my Christmas present shopping. But, there's always a but, now I've got to wrap them. C'est la vie. Have a wonderful family Christmas good Rose Marie and take care.
