An Elephant Who Wished To Lose Weight Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

Once, an elephant read a book
On how to lose weight and improve one's look,
So, he did keto for a month
And reduced his weight by a few tons,
Soon he began to appear as lean as a garden lizard
His elephant friends said he looked like a real wizard
But an owl in the tree felt dieting was not good
For he always ate his fill whenever he got good food.
One day the elephant's master asked him to lift a log
Though he tried hard, his eyes got clouded as if by a thick fog,
He could not lift it even an inch off the ground
But in this struggle tumbled and fell down.
The elephant was quick to realize his mistake
Nowadays he is reading a book on how to gain weight!
