Marvellous poem, Stephen. Cleverly thought out, well rhymed and with a happy but also valid message. Well done - I give it a 10.
are you talking about one of these? i've seen a photo of one a long time ago i think. good finger for picking one's nose! aye-aye ˈīī/ noun noun: aye-aye; plural noun: aye-ayes a rare nocturnal Madagascan primate allied to the lemurs. It has rodentlike incisor teeth and an elongated twiglike finger on each hand with which it pries insects from bark. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - You (and Valsa George; so you're in good company!) use commas sometimes where i would NOT! i think i use commas where many others would not! is it a cultural thing with the british commonwealth? ? of course we americans are not like YOU! ! this is good advice for humans as well, but DON'T let my home boss read this! she might start thinking she can NOT prepare my supper OR think she can NOT do my laundry! ! ! bri :) great twist on using aye. good rhyming, and the change from 'aye' to 'of course' to facilitate a rhyme was clever. Is 'facilitate' the right word to use here, i wonder. hmm? favorite lines: Able to decide, He held his head with pride, And no longer cried. this poem would make a good short one in a future 'showcase' on my site. bri :)
