The flowers that should bloom in the month of May Every one of them came on an April day! And they looked for April showers in vain, But all through May it did nothing but rain! The joke!

I love the light and breezy style of this piece- I shall read more... hopefully poems that have a bit more meat to it.
I like this American writer and poet publishing her work in the first half of the 20th century. Her humour produced a superb contrast that ran from the horrors of the war to the beautiful nature. The last line is a real and important message.Voted 10.
