This is indeed a lovely poem! I too have watched the ants procession with the same sense of interest and wonder and have written poems. Without any bugle call or oral instructions, they march as a single file in unbroken continuity to forage food...! But occasionally there may be some stragglers who break away from the line and wander. They may have some agenda....! Your comparison of them with the extremists has a rare novelty and sounds quite apt!

Yes, ants always fascinate you. I too have written a few poems on ants and they must be on PH, but can't readily recall. Thank you for liking the work.
