I can relate to this one very well David. Cornfields was very plentiful where I grew up. I remember taking those long walks and running my hands through the soft and silky tops in the early morning while the ground was still wet and soggy from the dew. Your poem rings about thoughts of love. For me It was very relaxing. Enjoyed this write.

The sensibility while deciding where to cut the line, and where to complete the point, is not that common...this poem with long lines of multiple syllable composition gives a pleasure read for both the composition and the content till the last short line...it is excellent!
