Sometimes we see the dark side because we have never been to the 'darkest side of the world' - the poor countries where people die in the streets for lack of water, and children die as soon as they are born because there is no doctor nor medicine. Americans are the most forutnate people in the world, if they only knew that. That fact that you can write this poem so well means you have been gifted by God, and you 'exist' because you can - there are people who want to exist longer on earth, but cannot. Cynthia

wow! quite a poem, strong emotions wrapped in equally strong images. My favorite lines are, 'gorged myself on the banquets of glory lived on the crumbs of remorse danced in the street so violent as a matador'
