Great descriptive language: Spacious Skies, Purple Mountain Majesties... great alliteration crown thy good with brotherhood - cown our good land with brothership, fellowship etc. Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law! - in discipline and cooperation may we progress liberating strife Thine alabaster cities gleam - cities that gleam and sparkle with hope like an alabaster stone. - - - - may writing like this be the norm one day again, we can only hope for an intellectual reawakening in America- - - - - - - - - - -

More than a century old, the poem is a great tribute to a great country which has been a symbol of freedom and liberty, equality of people and abolition of slavery, not to talk of scientific temperament. A handful of people may not like it but it is true. Thanks. America! America! / God mend thine every flaw, Confirm thy soul in self-control / Thy liberty in law!

This Poem Is The Root Of Hope. Stemming From The Seeds Of Love. I Am Moved EVERY Time I Read This, For It's Bitter-Sweet. What Once Was, That Is Now Supposed To Be... Isn't... But Such Is Life... Who Am I To Ponder?
