Amberesqe Shine Poem by Jacob Underwood

Amberesqe Shine

painted walls drip from a pearl iridescent shine on rich gold.
platters of foods all dripped in a yellow shimmer of fondue.
a meal of the gods that any greedy person would easily pursue.

a place that feels unreal and if you said anything you would be seen as mistold.
as you look around seeing the sights of where you are your teeth need to subdue.
Even with countless people diving into the gold and cheese at this point greed becomes a virtue.

because with a hunger and taste like this why resist that just makes it increase fourfold.
away from the shame from the upright normal world you get to indulge in your rendezvous.
shining in a place you finally belong glittering as bright as the gold now with nothing going askew.

as you dig deeper to the cheese to find slight hints and notes of cashew.
leaving everyone's criticism judgement and anarchy now steamrolled.
You can live in a fortune of gold with only other greedy people by you to flowthrough.
a perfect life of splendor and shine now it can feel as if you'll live forever in full bold.
