Amazon River Comments

Rating: 4.9

Why, State, your eyes don’t see the Amazon River?
Tsiko said 'Amazon is life' and you agreed to save it.
Why the horsemen of interests invaded in the night?
Their bullet entered Tsiko’s chest but invades your own.

I stopped by to wonder what one knew of the Amazon who lived so far away. Ah, surprise, your Amazon was not so far at that. Adeline

A finely crafted brave and powerful poem. I felt I was in a stranglehold of some beast in the lush Amazonian forest while reading and feeling the emotions from which it emanated. I am certainly in for a feast reading your poetry in the middle of the night through the earlier morning hours - my insomnia is a blessing... Truly splendid. Your biography was very interesting indeed. You are, as I suspected, a well established poet. I was interested in all the translations of poetry you do. An old school friend of mine who is a nun and curator of the English Cemetery in Florence - Julia Holloway Bolton would certainly approve and enjoy your poetry; and I believe you would enjoy hers. Just google her name. I have an article on one of her websites entitled 'Soul's Green Dell' about Illnesses of the Mind...Julia is a medieval scholar. She is well published and writes so beautifully about so many wonderful things. Later tonight, I shall enjoy reading your poems - and pondering over them. Thank you for sharing them with all of us lesser poets. A bientot! Philippa (Montreal, Canada)
