The gratitude that
Paul speaks of is
different from
the everyday
'Thank you! '
that we use
in everyday life.

The apostle is
concerned with
that deep gratitude
of the heart that
emerges from the
astonishment at
God and Jesus Christ.

Only when I am
constantly amazed
at the greatness
of God, the extent
of his love and
goodness, will I
find that deep
connection with
God and Christ.
