Amaising Dream Of Us Poem by Marilyn Jean

Amaising Dream Of Us

I wish I could tell you
This was this morning
I fell asleep again
At first
I thought is was my nightmare
A modern underground hall
The dense crowd again
But all were called outside
We all walked out on a steep ramp
To watch the release of shiny air balloons
Then turning I see you with a little girl
A 5 or s 6 years old, red dress, dark-red curly hair
You are holding hands, you look both all smile
I can see you walking behind me
You are talking so gently to her bending down
I cannot hear what you say but I see you
later the path turns and I see a toddler
Lost alone and sitting on the ground
Blue jumper, dark hair, beautiful, but crying
I raise him into my arms, he smells so sweet
I hold him hugging him to comfort him
He smiles back, then I realize it is you
We go holding hands to sit together on a bench
To watch the balloons' launch under the sunshine
Later when I woke up it felt good I thought
maybe, I saw us with 2 children, ours
Probably not
No. I was dreaming you holding my hand as a child
As if you were my father or brother
And there I was comforting a very young You
As if I was your loving mother or sister
The 4 of us looked very happy
This was a truly amaizing dream of us
