ALISON...STERLING PIECE OF WORK HERE, YOUNG LADY... Glad to see ya on site again...This is a fine slice of lit., indeed... FJR
I feel this poem immensely. Nice work. And thank's for your comment on my poem too.
Well written and beautifully honest. I've been here Alison, I think most women have and it's never easy. Thank you for sharing this. Hugs Anna xxx
This is a straighforward, uncomplicated and honest piece of writing which asks the timeless question about the pain of relationships, no matter how casual. I guess it's about ego and fear of abandonment when you look deep enough. Or perhaps, you actually feel more than you allow yourself to admit... An accessible well written piece. love, Allie xxxxxxxxx
I agree with Kezziah and Doc, this is a fine piece of beautiful writing.
You said it! I like the feel this poem has to it; it fits your words well, and your word choice fits your subject well.
I love this poem, it's so forthright, I understand your feeling and have experienced it just once whilst in that situation. I was racked with the 'green thing' in a way I never knew possible. I think it's because of the lack of rules that you feel it is not justifiable to feel that way. However, because of the connection you deserve a level of sensitivity and I think this is where it is more difficult to draw the rules up. Am I waffling? I hope not! ! A good poem though Alison. HG: -) xx
The first line gives it all away. When the feelings are threatened by the possibility of loss, jealousy or pain comes swooping down to stick its little knife in your heart. It's a tightrope situation and you're being pushed and pulled from side to side! ! But you've expressed that ambivalent situation very effectively in this. Good poetry Alison! ! xx jim
Alison, being jealous is natural. I like the way you contradict yourself over thinking that you are not jealous, but you are. I liked this poem. Had a great feel to it emotionally. Thanks for sharing it. David
I have one of these relationships myself, satisfying to see it so well expressed! Nice write. Louise.
