Matt, it's been a while ago, sweetest and simplest line i've ever read " As with the dream she left my bed." , men of this age have no idea nor will understand any of these lines.

I have indeed voted for your lovely poem...sometimes the bittersweet return, of a lover, lost, even if only in a fleeting dream, is enough to make the heart dance again...as if 18...and unaware of the long life road ahead...beautifully expressed. I now take your words, with me, and drift towards sleep...in search of my lost love. Goodnight and PEACE

The tender memories of youth. Powerful. As lovely as I left her at her father's hearth. Soars your heart back in time. Well done. Best of luck.

i especially enjoyed the following lines: slept she crept: Always eighteen. That was the only thing she said As with the dream she left my bed. besides enjoying the rhymes, i found your lines very picturesque. thanks for sharing. i give it an excellent, which i don't give easily. in fact if i wait too long to vote i may drop it a notch. na.
