Wisdom Suffers To Provide A Warm House Ready In A Storm how delicious when outside cold flurry snowflakes are blowing while inside a hot pine log fire in the hearth is blazing burning a good dry pine log wood fire burning merrily on a stormy night is a warm comfort glow drink merry sing song inspiring sight; bitter frost cold gales cannot warm snug chase merry spirits away appreciation for a dry roof a warm house is a comfort on a cold day outside wild creatures will be sheltering from this storm snuggled down this night the last of a fierce winter storm we will not in memory mourn; Copyright © Terence George Craddock Inspired by the poem 'Altes Kaminstück' by the poet Heinrich Heine. Dedicated to the poet Henrich Heine.

'Outside, white snowflakes are blowing Through the night: the storm is loud: Here I’m alone, beside the blazing Hearth inside, warm, quietly bowed.' I love the lines, I think the original German would be quite sublime
