Espresso's alter ego called all the shots
Boys, did they like the drink
Funny to think, Ego wanted all the control
Espresso's wouldn't you know it

Every equation left him alone
He wandered from cup to cup
A tribal sorjourner...Organically grown
Far from any stable home
They all had lives beyond the milk variety
Steam cared so much what they thought
There was born the foam!
Developed creative force's alter ego

Personas to strike up romance
Hearts drawn like in sand
Happy faces, trees and leaves
There was a certain flair to toss
His hair and hand crafted art

Almost, she didn't say always
Forever, for espresso was her favorite
Drinking up, she played his game
Along the whey she fell in love
She saw his need to rise
Above the rest...oh my foam!
They all left him in the end
Oh no! Shake it up!
Let's add some Sugar
In the Raw right here
For they all had families
But he was their friend
Uniquely created and crafted soul
Espresso's craving remained flowing
Toward swirling their lives
To him, they were his wives
So many drinks left to be
To drink, to think, to need
To consume, to enjoy, to decorate
Yet not, to be concerned, though
Espresso? His alter ego took surprise
And survived the neglect
It was just fine, contact
Heat and tempered foam
Espresso's reality check

One day,
Espresso's alter ego
Was left alone
You'd have to know
In depth detail?
He set it up that way
Ohoho! Espresso
His rules, his game
Every time tinkered his timing
Every move modernized his moving
...until the end result
Would end the same
Stopping espresso's pour
For his own sake
Poor at his own game
He chose alone
To make his home
Wait!
His fate
And on that day
Espresso's fate
Flashed a scene

Alter ego said, please!
I Love You!
He laughed, (Espresso)
...hahahohoho! ...
You're not even real!
His smile flashed
As he disentegrated to ash
Into skilled foam to roam
