Beautiful lines. Real poetry. Without mentioning a word about waves, your poem tells the reader how winds cause waves in the seas. In Sanskrit Poetry, this figure of speech is called "Roopaka athishayokti".

Is the title not LANTERN? This brevity is very thought-provoking, but the word LANTURN is not in my mind, but the concise makes a lovely impression Thank you for sharing

As I was reading I got the image of a large rusty anchor suspended from the sky, being tossed about in the wind, etching lines in the sand. Poem is image packed!
