As I walk down life's only road,
I figured out I'm all alone,
without the girl who said she loves me,
she left me to drive blind and run on empty.
There's no emotion left inside,
promise's made not to let me die,
I've got no future and had no past,
I thought we would forever last.

I sit here and dry my eyes,
patch up my torn insides,
I want to be in love like before,
with the girl behind the blue door.
Reality hits me as time moves on,
what has been has been and gone,
drawn curtains to hide the light,
insecurities tend to fight.

I want to get back to my yesterdays,
I love you is all I want you to say,
forget the anguished words that was said,
come lay down beside me on my bed.
I believed the words that escaped from your mouth,
and you made me feel so proud,
being with the one who I should be,
eyes are shut and you'll never see.

See the moon and stars in the sky,
look up my love and shout out why,
why do we keep trying all in vain,
waiting for the you to stop the rain.
I'll eternally wait for the day to arrive,
where I can look deep into those hurtful eyes,
hold your hand and speak of words so true,
beginning with I've missed and I love you.
