Alone In Love? Poem by Teacher Kevin

Alone In Love?

I start the chats first,
drop the jokes, break ice,
you scroll, you take time,
I'm talking to the void.

Calls just ring and fade,
texts sit there unread,
blue ticks stare me down,
silence louder than words.

I plan the hangouts,
pick spots, pay the bill,
you shrug, say you're busy,
I keep trying anyway.

I give my feelings,
you give a half-smile,
I'm all in, you're not,
guess I love alone.
