Robert...This is a very interesting poem. There is so much said and so much to understand. It speaks of losing ones illusions and letting myths die away. Whether it be about a Nation or about God. And, many people are deluded when it comes to God and when it comes to this Nation. It is about seeking the truth and discerning the lies. I like poems with depth and with interesting points of view. Your poem is such a poem for me.
