Almost Grasping The Holy Grail Poem by Enchanting Owl

Almost Grasping The Holy Grail

Rating: 5.0

'I'm loaded! I can buy whatever I want! ', I shouted excitedly.
Dime is my gold, and nickel is my silver. Plutus is blessing me handsomely.
Money attracts people; power attracts trouble.
The number of my instant friends will be doubled.

The summer air and salty waves will be filled with everlasting laughter.
I am subject to junk chatter, rich with edgy favors, and bound to false flatter.
Bartering bliss and loot with all kinds of pleasure,
This might be the best life ever, and that's for sure.

Gee, woe me! No more stratosphere of blue; no more waterhole of mud.
I want to make this continue, so I will be watering this auspicious bud.
The sun's beam rayed my eyes, and I took a deep breath.
Awakened, I'm still in my bed, blanketed with death.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Money is such a driving force. It was instilled in our minds and systems that money is the solution to everything. (I guess that is true.)
