I am happy when I want to be happy, I am gloomy when I want to be gloomy, I am crazy when I want to be crazy, I am sleepy when I want to be sleepy, I blame others when I dream being affected by an external joy, stress or frustration.

To be content with what we have; and yet, not to sever our dreams...what balance of inner strength it requires...A powerful poem!

We fail to see the magic lamp or call the genie to our aid and continue to be in the dark! Yes, our happiness is within reach, but we fail to access it. A very powerful image you have selected here to drive home the idea that happiness rests in our lap....! A 10

My happiness lies in my lap...loved this line.....we all hold our happiness with ourselves...some can get that by fulfilling their dreams and some can't get that.....when there is a hope, there is a will, there is a way, there is the achievement and there is the happiness...well penned..thanks for sharing..

I say it is really a beautiful poem. It is poem on life and dream with hope. Example of Alladin's Lamp is interesting. It is based on philosophy. The beginning stanza is enchanted. The last stanza is much impressive.. Thank you very much with full vote.
