I am programmed to love this poem read by a robotic voice
Tennyson is the best poet of all time; he ranks up there with Virgil and Isaiah.
Poets are important and should be honoured. They are angels with gold hearts. Great
A chillingly beautiful reminder of our place in the universal journey
Yes all things must die. The question is do You know where you are going After you die? The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4 exactly what YOU must believe to be saved (and go to heaven when you die) YOU must believe that Jesus died on the cross for YOU'RE sins, and that he was buried, and that he rose from the dead. That's it. YOU don't have to do anything except believe (Ephesians 2: 8-9) Please except this FREE GIFT before it's too late
“For even & morn Ye shall not see thro eternity! ! “ The attitude of Tennyson in this poem is solemn & the image transmit the inevitable truth that all shall die. Nice one(Y)
The form is terribly modern and free for the time. The content is terribly sad but realistic and thoughtfully expressed. Q25uite an amazing poem encompassing so many aspects of Death
It brings to ones attention that we are quests here. Classical poem and I love it.
The poet persona deeply explores the vanity of life making references to the natural creation which will one day become 'pale.' A good reason human should live a good life before death beckons.
but two things are still remain untouched your love and your soul.............
Nothing last forever
