All the engineers, where do they all belong
With the working class or the idle middle class
Or the filthy rich or the social dilettante
All the engineers, where do they all come from?
How do they all function?

James used the chemical properties of polymers to practise safe sex or did he?
Hamid used the basics of mass transfer to conceive children and the basics of heat transfer to keep them warm as babies
David used the basics of chemical reaction engineering to get to second base with the married me by sweet talking me
Roya used the specifics of the WHMIS Safety Course to apply to dealing with male equipment or did she?
Peter used the basics of process control to exercise feedback control in operating feedforward control;

Eric who had eyes as blue as the pool
Was the Dutch Adonis
Who used his wings of new found freedom to lead an engineer's life and romance me;

Martin who had eyes as hazel as the olives that adorn a martini
Was almost the Swiss Eros
Who used his seductive tongue to cajole me into a higher catalytic rate in work and romance;

Viviana who had hair and skin as smooth as silk
Was the Indonesian cyber babe
Who used her far reaching hand of friendship to be loving to me;

Behzaad who had arms like steel
Was the Iranian handiman
Who used his chivalrous mind to be a special assistant to me;

Grantland who one thought was like a nerdy Taiwanese Canadian

But his glistening spectacles spoke of the better self he could be;
