All That Remains Poem by Daniel Brown

All That Remains

Memories remain.
As you ebb and flow,
Whether pleasure or plague,
Hazy recollections...
Clutching to retain...
The feeling that fits the form,
The price that I have paid.
To watch the grasp that slipped from you...
The clutch that fell away...
So keeping what's in mind to store,
Ignoring all the pain...
Holding on to all that's left,
No memory in vain
