All Alone #2 Poem by louis rams

All Alone #2

JUST SAYING

I wear a mask so that no one can see the pains that are etched inside of me the flames of love i can not stroke
So I'll laugh, I'll smile, I'll tell a joke.
What was once a flame is now a flicker of light and upon waking I begin the fight.
Why does love evade me? What did I do wrong?
In someone's heart is where I belong!
I would search the world over to find a love that's true and rekindle the flame that I once knew.
I am like a statue made of stone, surrounded by people yet all alone.
What is this feeling which is hard to explain that keeps my soul in constant pain.
All alone with no love in sight - must I give up my fight.
