I'm not familiar with relgious writing... your piece is truly wondrous.
............the story is amazing.....and your pen created a beautiful poem....very much enjoyed...
PH KEEPS BLOCKING AND LOSING MY COMMENTS - FRUSTRATING. HOPE THIS ONE MAKES IT THIS TIME. It's my third effort. Another splendid reworking of a biblical theme. As Marie Shine (another poetic name, by the way) has so thoughtfully pointed out, the colors and imagery are scrumptious, the fall into darkness and the rise into faith. Furthermore, you are influenced IMO just a bit by Modernist verse, just the right amount. E.g., Brilliant light and brilliant music cascade across the marble courtyard. Clouds slice the moon. Did you ever consider handling biblical stories w/ monologues? This one, for instance, could be voiced by a wine-bearer reporting to the master of the wine cellar what's going on at this magnificent feast, suddenly turning desperate. Can't you just imagine how this would have shocked a somewhat objective bystander? Actually, I'm not suggesting that you redo this one. I think it is fine as it is. But I think you'd enjoy voicing the monologues. Every time I've done one, I've ended up identifying with the speaker and feeling as if I had been there in those olden days.
So much beautiful imagery created in this great write! Nicely done! Enjoyed the read!
what a wonderful write, it is lovely, I simply thought is is beautiful.
