Why then should I for riches pray
Whilst the Carmel can through the niddle eye pass
But for the rich, it's difficult to go through that way;
As if though he's larger than the Carmel's body mass.
Is riches then a fault or a fulcrum
Upon which vice and virtue stand?
Or that riches are solely a compendium
Where vices are bred and rebrand?
If riches are vice's den or roof of all evil
Then, the rich are not safe if it's so,
Precisely that the laden Carmel
Can pass where the rich seldomly can go.
Let every poor man rejoice, be blithe and be glad,
If that the eternal stories of the rich is always so sad
