Dr. Albert Einstein was a total family person.
He never lived alone anywhere.
He lived comfortably surrounded by his immediate
And extended family members.
His secretary too, lived with him in the same house.
His step daughter, Margot, even after her mother Elsa's death,
Continued to live in Einstein household.
Maja, Albert's sister too, joined the family in Princeton.
Dr. Einstein's eldest son - Hans Albert,
After receiving his doctoral degree in technical sciences,
In ETH in Zurich, moved to America with his family.
Dr. Einstein enjoyed spending time with his son and his grandsons.
Dr. Hans Albert, worked at the U.S Department of Agriculture,
In Greenville, South Carolina and Caltech, and later in 1947,
Became a Professor of Hydraulic Engineering at the University
Of California in Berkeley. Like his father, he remained in America.
In 1939, Maja Winteler Einstein left Italy to join her brother -
Albert's household, in 112 Mercer Street in Princeton.
Right from their childhood, Albert and Maja remained close,
An exceptional tie of affection and bonding of the siblings.
Maja's husband, unfortunately, was refused visa
Due to health reasons. But he encouraged Maja,
To leave Europe, as he felt she would be safer in America.
Paul Winteler, Maja's husband moved to Geneva, after Maja left.
Dr. Einstein's house was a buzzing full house
With three strong women -Maja, Margot, Helen Dukas.
Who took charge of Einstein's household affairs and work.
Dr. Einstein was fond of animals and pets too.
He had a dog named Chico and a cat named Tiger.
Later, a parrot named Bibo too, arrived.
I wonder whether they knew anything of Einstein's 'Relativity'
But I am certain, they all lived happily as close, loving relatives!
A Biographical Poem
Chico (dog) , Tiger (cat) and Bibo (parrot) came relatively closer to Einstein family. How wonderful! !
Lovely poem. Einstein's kind nature surrounded him with family. A blessing.
