Why think of Albatross? However this short poem gives vent to your emotions and I like the way you have thought of not having a wife. A beautiful poem.

A Fantastic write. I agree with Valsa comment...This reminds of Coleridge's poem.. Instead of the cross, the Albatross About my neck was hung. Loved the way you presented it. Thanks for sharing.

Is there an element of regret that you haven't taken a wife? Don't think that you are under a curse like the ill fated Ancient Mariner of Coleridge's poem who had to carry the albatross tied around his neck by his fellow mariners as a sad reminder of the folly he did! Good times will come.... wait patiently! Enjoyed!
