A Throne Of Power a hubris lesson in putting too much power in the hands of clowns those unfit to lead or incapable of leading well to the esteemed level a country or nation needs Shakespeare both taught and warned of this in his play 'King Lear'. Inspired by the poem 'Alas - Αλίμονο' by the poet Kostas Lagos. Dedicated to the poet Kostas Lagos.
Pride gets inflated, well depicted, yes, the problem with pride is its cut-off point.
Great satire on politicians. They are greedy, liars and what not. Nice one my friend.5*
I completely agree with the thoughts projected through this poem, Kostas. A proud man aspiring for wealth and status always, is a complete idiot. I enjoyed the style and framework of the poem as well.
I very poignant poem, a hubris lesson in putting too much power, in the hands of those unfit to lead, or incapable of leading well, to the level a country or nation leads. Shakespeare both taught and warned of this in his play 'King Lear'. It is good to read Kostas, a simple needed direct to the point poem, addressing a simple causes a simple solution.
