In Eragon it means the morning star but I'm not sure how accurate that is. Assuming that's correct, I think it symbolizes morning in this poem, and perhaps the safety that is usually associated with that. I wish I wasn't the only one commenting on this, it's a lovely poem as are many of yours. They're amazing!
