Suffer for our sin,
Does it not grip your trembling

Hi Alf. another poem that points to the failures of mankind. My heart bleeds for all humanity because there's not enough love for the underprivileged and poor of the world. We just have to love all humanity and we will not have all the problems we're having now. Thanks for sharing this heartfelt poem. a 10++++>>>>>.
A heart rending piece Alf, you are right to draw the attention of people to the sad fate of these unfortunate children...10
again we are on the same page. i wrote one called the 'orphanage' which i had posted last week. excellent! thank you for sharing this with all of us. another triple ten
wow, they need to have some help, really good eye opening poem! ! ! !
When we fail to listen, we fail to learn pain, when we fail to touch, we fail to learn how to feel, and when we fail to care we fail to be human. Thanks for reminding me to think outside “I”.
We do have our share of helping out and reaching the needs of the orphans here every week end, and it's a joy to share our time, talent and even a little amount of our blessings to them. What a nice world we could have been if we only have eyes, ears and heart for them. Your piece has a good, powerful message to be heard loud and clear. thanks for sharing your wisdom with us, Alf...This is a wonderful piece.
You brought out a sad pace of reality.....devastating to know yet you have crafted it well...Thanks!
Your compassion comes to mind after reading this and God's word... 'Suffer the little children to come unto me...' Bless you & well done for writing of this heartwrenching situation with such clarity... we must do whatever we are able to do to care for our children
a sad poem; bound to hit the reader below the belt...especially, the conclusion....
'a highway ten feet wide..' That's a line to grip the heart, Alf. Thank you for writing this poem and putting it out there to raise awareness.
orphans need shelter.foods, education and clothing...in other words, they need the COMPLETE LOVE.COMPLETE CARE AND COMPLETE ATTENTION from all of us....nice piece...
Thanks Alf, I will do so. Have just returned from a three day trip to rural clinics with 2 colleagues. Aids is rife, so I shall be reading your write with interest. Regards Cindy
wonderful sad realistic poem about orphans, very well written, thank you for sharing...10+++
Very Powerful poem indeed. It is a great plight that not only the sinner but also the people around him have to suffer for his or her evil deeds. That is a great plight indeed. Thanks for writing this poem. Your pen can be used as a humane weapon to tackle evil that rules the modern world. But I always believe that words alone do not put an end to such plagues. We have to put those words in to action! ! I mean these days politicians do make grand eloquent speeches, yet they never really put those words in to action. Therefore not only we have to write and ask questions, but also time is ripe to be united and counter these evil, so that the future of the human kind will be blessed with a world with out demons.. This is a great write..10++ Cheers Shan
a very powerful moving heart-felt poem Alf... the last stanza is an imagined but realistic scenario that cannot fail to move anyone's heart....
Cruel reasoning is everywhere, it has become a way of our lives, penetrating too deeply..but hope is always there- if and if only we work together to elecate poverty and usher in a new era of peace, health and equality to some extent if not completely! ..Winnie
great poem with a great message..........may god bless them!
