Another 10 for humor. I admire and enjoy your many expressions.
Delightful twin portraits: a kind of dyptich (did I say that?) Well you must have gotten your blinds and we got a charming poem.
Ah, I see the m'learned friend DJ said it first.... yes. t x
Some might see a snobbishness in this: having a dig at the hicks? Not me. This is great. A wonderful snapshot that, at first seems like a bulliten but the poetics, that underlie it, come to the fore with further reading. This is a great skill and a fantastic use of form: to make something appear to be what it isn't (am I making sense?) I love this and you could be onto an interesting series. Writers on this site don't seem to do poetry series, which is a shame as last year or so the site was awash with them and you could see the writer's inventiveness as they got further into it.
DUET...........meant as in 'Hunter Douglas' not a song.............[on first comment I made here] moi, xo
When all else fails, read the instructions! This reminds me of something from Fawlty Towers. You have a brilliant flair for comedy and your characters are so absurd they must be real. Love the cute reference to rare ground meat. Funny poem. love, Allie xxxx
well this is a quaint little story. And, yes, it rings true. Nice work.
Must of been a Duet, installed by man, one of two, who has now reinstalled twice. Can't seem to get the measurements correct or the fixtures to attach to work, and It's custom made....I can't do what he was supposed to, so I went custom....yikes, happens in every state it seems........At any rate, thanks for the laughs and although I don't arise until hours after the rest of you [need my 12 hrs sleep] I needed this laugh today, even if it does hurt to laugh, it's worth it! ! ! marci.xo
Leotard, Cletus and wit! is there a 2nd instalment in the study of Endurance? ? Tentickles of laugher from me.... thank you!
