I give this five stars (if I ignore the TYPOS) , mostly for the poem's attirbutes, but maybe a half to a whole star because Bharati is a good friend. : ) bri
Thank you Bri for your many comments. As you have already given five stars I hope it is making way to one of your showcase.I will try again to edit the poem.
The previously-mentioned (by me) book is 'In The Realms Of Love & Divinity'. I'm not too interested in love OR divinity, but Bharati gifted me with a copy. : )
I believe the title is Ah Rain! ! , NOT Ahrain! ! . This poem is one of many found in a recently-published book of poems, coauthored by Dr. Antony Theodore and Bharati Nayak (of PH) .
In at least three places AND in the title two words are connected (as if they were one word) which should NOT be connected. This is something PH used to do to me at times years ago.; (
'petrichor noun The distinctive scent which accompanies the first rain after a long warm dry spell. The yellow organicoil that yields this scent.'
This is an urgent poem. You NEED the emotional that the very process of rainfall offers. Nature pulls us into a larger world than our wounded heart, which is then strengthened by these vast natural forces. But rain also works on an intimate level and it is this intimacy which I love especially in your poem. The lastline shows this so poignantly when you declare the rain will take no denials. I am pwesuaded! !
Thank you so much, Sir, for your beautiful comment.Yes, rain is associated with our emotions most intimately.

Hey, Bharati! I so relate to the feeling in this, the welcoming, the appreciation, for rain that finally comes to water the dryness of the earth and of our spirits. Hoping this finds you very well, Glen
Thank you Glen Kappy for kindly reading my poem and giving your thoughtful comment.
It is really a beautiful poem on rain touching to philosophy. The last stanza that I quoted here is so touching. I hear your song, The footsteps of your coming Your knocks on the door Even when the doors and windows Are closed You come through Without listening to Any denials. Thanks for sharing.10
Many many thanks for your kind read, inspiring comment and the 10.I am so obliged.
Hi Bharati, Rain is the essence of all His benevolence. Lovely poem.
Thank you Unnikrishnan E.S. for your lovely comment. As you said, rain is the essence of all His benevolence. With rain, seeds sprout, new leaves come on branches and there is great change in the surroundings. The dry land wears green look and there is smile on faces of living creatures who had been in thirst due to want of water.
Yes, rain is indeed enchanting, every drop has its spell and you have heard it’s song...soaking the earth and drenching you in shower, wow...how I have tided over you over tortuous sommer...what a lovely poem!
Thank you so much Bill Cantrell for kindly reading my poem and the inspiring commentYes, rain is enchanting, every drop has its spell. It is particularly felt after a hot summer.
we can close our windows and doors but can't close our mind or thoughts-
Thank you Sekharan Pookkat for your nice comment. Some emotions are so automatic and so natural that they come to life as different seasons. We can not stop their coming.
The sorrow of painful heart and the drops of rain painted a wonderful picture with great imagery of a women crying and rain drops falling, Fantastic poem Bharati Ji.10++++

When it's late at night I love the sound of rain against the window. A great poem.
IF I ever produce another (usually-monthly) showcase, this poem may find its way into that showcase. You may always remind me of it. ;) : ) bri
