Age issue is subdued by experiences and further subdued when we see our grand children. What a coincidence, Mamta! We have common names in our families. My son's name, as you know, is Sameer and my elder daughter's name is Anika. I am glad to read Sameer's comment. He seems to be tuned to your poetic wisdom. Regards Naseer
Age has a value in this earth, here our life, love, longing need 'take care' Mamta's words emitting light, everybody cheer! 10+++
Age is something that doesn't matter, unless you are adaptive in all eras yet it is indeed a very high price to pay for maturity and experiences. There are compensations for growing older. One is the realization that to be sporting isn't at all necessary. It is a great relief to reach this stage of wisdom. Everyone will have to get to that particular stage of life but the important thing is that you have to live long enought.......
Age will come fast at heel Ailments and sickness Stay by as shadows To come and go as they please No pills, ointments or gel Would ever give us relief It is only Pure love that Eases any pain of [Body, heart or mind]! Mam' if you pls, Mamtaji, Age old issues penned down well, Thank God for the Anika's Who bring a smile and ease our pains! Thanks for the wonderful poem and the reference to Nandy Sir, I have to go his page too someday to read his poems. Angel
ts in that tender age, There is no weight of wisdom to carry Body swings light and free Do what we want... Its in that ripe age Wisdom's weight counts a bit more So is the body, finds it a bit more to carry. So what matters here? Perceptions of the perceiver. There are many ways to reason Those reasons comes from the Alma Meter within. Its true the reluctant body yells But mind should know, how... not to mind it. Its your courage and perception, reflect in this great write.
Mamta ji Thanks! I wonder how many read my poem 'Grey Hairs', like you! I wanted to give the same remarks of Mark Twain as my comments, buy now I cannot! So here are a few: - 'Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional '! 'Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years...We grow old by deserting our ideals.Years may wrinkle our skin, but to give up enthusiasm - wrinkles the soul! ' For your poem 10! -Raj Nandy
