Poem makes very pertinent comments about society.

Patriotism unfortunately increasingly manifests itself either as an obsession or as xenophobia nowadays. A poem which leaves an impact.

I agree with this.....Reminds one of Bertrand Russel.....A la base, we are human beings and nationality, pride of nationality, race, language etc are just things we hinge ourselves to so as not to feel alone, i guess....Going deeper, Upanishads say, Ekamevadhwitheeyam.....
