Again And Again Poem by Etienne Charilaou

Again And Again

The doom of all is foreseen
galaxies speed and careen
to the edge of great darkness
all will fly apart to dark corners
all will become dark
the stars' lights will fade
the drawing of the shade
And there will be no hope of continuance -
the universe must die,
and be reborn.
Forever this will be.
Forever the words are writ
as though for the first time
but something remembers all the past lives
something keeps the records of what is.

The doom of all is foreseen.
It doesn't matter that it's already been.
Sleep now, and dream.
