Afternoon Diversion Poem by William Deutscher

Afternoon Diversion

Green hills,
her skills
viewed in depth.
The lady ran,
speaking fast
and out of breath.
She made it last
all the day,
her beauteous way
and scented tease
In country field
on bended knees -
a kiss thus sealed
a wink of rhyme
a blink of time.
