Afternoon Delight Poem by Mary Champion

Afternoon Delight

I went for a walk in the glade today
with a wondrously willing maid today.

I'll never forget the time we spent
nor the games of love that we played today.

Her welcoming smile was a clear come-on
as I loosed her hair from its braid today.

I'll let you imagine the pleasure shared
as we lay in the leafy shade today.

I know we will keep, till the end of time,
the sweet promises that we made today.
