Your speaker presents a philosophical view of the sudden violence of the riot. And a forgiving one too. it's very rare for such generosity of spirit to occur. Mostly people want to retaliate, get revenge. So this philosophical approach is quite surprising The person who says such things is clearly a leader of men. I think I could rise to the occasion with such a man to point the way. I hope other people read your poem and take a stand as well.
