After Night Poem by Showkat Ahmad Wani

After Night

A mirror bright reflects the faithful soul,
Yet broken halls now crave thy presence still.
Desires unvoiced, like snares, in silence wait,
And heavens' gates unfold to unseen guests.
The dewdrop lingers, stretched upon the chest,
As daylight breathes its truth upon the world.
