After I Die Poem by Kelvin Rush

After I Die

After I die my journey will end
There'll be no more reason to act or pretend
I will feel no jealousy anger or greed
No ambition no goals no need to succeed

After I die I'll return back home
To the welcome of nothingness my eternal soul
Not even a smile a touch or a glance
No violence just silence no shame no romance

After I die my memory will cease
No crazy confusion no delusion just peace
No blame or regret no need to desire
No wanting no craving no quest to inspire

After I die I'll struggle no more
No name to live up to no cure to explore
No sorrow no ego no sleepless nights
No destructive behaviour no aggression no fights

After I die I will finally be free
No suicide thoughts no one abusing me
I'll be gently floating down the heavenly stream
Did I ever exist or was it all just a dream
