After All I Did Not Say Poem by Paul Perkins

After All I Did Not Say

After All I Did Not Say - 1991

Open and wide is the world tonight
for all to see
It opened for me
invitingly
he came to me
offered up himself to me
direct and firm
he looked into me
in a moment
after all I did not say
I wanted him
yet bypassed him
I wish I had joined him
stepping into his world
to have known
that which now,
I will never know.
