African Train Trip.... Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

African Train Trip....

Rating: 5.0

African Train Trip
Title of a poem by Laurie van der Hart,
this poem has won the Member Poem Of The Day today
so strange, the poem is deactivated, i cannot find this part
and all her other poems have gone that way....

Waiting for the train to come
from morn to noon till night
at first it seems so clear and bright
but this train won't come ever, right?

sad to say goodbye this way, Laurie
you have been in love with Bear, but not with Poetry
your magical African train has faded in the air
since no tracks of train to find, nowhere

2) Thank you so much, dearest Mrs. Juan Austin for your ardent response, your valuable comments and constant support. I am still very sad at the moment. Once again, I thank you from my deep inside for your great mental help and presence. Sent with much care, Sylvia Frances Chan, The Netherlands

My response for Mrs.Juan Austin's ardent comment on this poem AFRICAN TRAIN TRIP by Laurie van der Hart that has won the Member Poem Of The Day last 20 JAN 2020. I have written this same response THREE times, but each time it disappeared, because I cannot type fast. In this column, it will stay after it " has been away" , (2)

I love this poem. So timely and it shows how observant. and active is the great Poetess on this site. Laurie is a wonderful Poetess. I have read and commented on some of her beautifully crafted poems. I concur with your caring thoughts. We are sad but there is hope that maybe someday she will return on this site and repost her beautiful poems. A well crafted and conveyed poem. So beautifully written.
