Mj has again commented unerringly on the heartbeat of this fantastic poem. Love well-done repetition- it is a very valuable tool in the poet's tool box. May Freedom Rise the world over and in the individual hearts of mankind, not just for themselves but for others at the same time. 10++++++++++++++++++++++

And it is the drumbeat that pounds against the human conscience, wherever it exists on the earth. African Drum...a poem with a profound soul.

Yes, dear poetess. Quite revealing is this particular one. The drumbeat sound of African affairs is thus heard. Don't stop now! ! !

Great penning! May I beat my tamburine, aligned to the African rythm as poverty, inequality, oppression seems to rise on so many other lands, may we all find the path of change through peace with songs of love.

The repetition works well here, establishing both a tempo and a train of thought and emphasis. (Have you considered removing the a from line 3?) Danny

African, really actually a place like a great place, somehow we dont see it nor view them in justice... the reason is one, lot of problems we heard and fed to our mind, yes they are true but i am sure if they have a chance they can rise, and yes they can.. i hope you can go greater Africans ..i love the beat and drum u played in this poem as well as positive words...together we love humanity in the same world, we are under the same roof, sky

The revolt of a group steeped in poverty and denied freedom and equality! They rise as a single clan and clamour for what is denied to them! The repetition of lines gives a drumming effect! Powerful presentation! Enjoyed!

The repetition in your poem replaces the drum beat- -very clever. I always look on poems of this type with a bit of sadness, because the quest for freedom is so costly.

I can hear the drum, the voice. The repeated words (one word) and the descriptive lines work well together. I love the line, 'Awakened hungry hearts.' Well done. Thanks for sharing! :)
