...a staunch African poet. I can sense the voice of the oppressed 'yearning' for liberation. This is in line the poems of the African pioneer poets. However, if you have to revisit the poem, i think you should look at summer, winter or autumn, those are not African climate conditions. Conditions like Harmattan, rainy and dry seasons are familiar with us. I truelly enjoyed this poem.
